This rosin is very high quality. It is very grippy yet still surprisingly smooth when playing very soft pp passages. One thing to keep in mind when you get it is that a little goes a LONG way. It’s very easy to apply too much and too often which results in a slightly gritty sound and lots of dust. I rosin my bow less than half as much as I did when I was using Hill Dark Rosin. I find that after I apply it, I like it more and more as it wears off, as odd as that sounds. So I never apply some directly before a performance. I always make sure it’s played in a little bit. I like it enough that I will also be purchasing the light formula for summertime.

Best Cello Rosin Ever

This is by far the best cello rosin I have ever used. Doesn’t create a “scratchy” tone, produces MUCH less dust than traditional rosins, and creates a clear and articulate tone. The best rosin for the price.
